You've been invited to be a part of a night dedicated to trying to make a difference in the lives of children who have been through, and are living through,the most courageous battles of their lives.
Most of us cannot even imagine what it would be like to endure the pain and sickness that comes along with illnesses as serious as the ones that afflict the children we are aiming to help on this evening.
My daughter, Rhiann, started growing her hair about 2 years ago so that she could donate it to this worthy cause and along the way, and in co-ordination with some good friends and family, decided that she could possibly inspire others to do what they could to help as well.
I spoke with (GQ Walker, GQ Da' MC) about Rhiann's idea to donate her hair, and after having watched his own Mother suffer and ultimately lose her battle with Cancer, GQ jumped at the chance to do something to make these kids lives a little bit easier. GQ suggested a fantastic group of people and a venue (Ocean 49) that he thought would be perfect for this event and together we created the fundraiser you are invited to today.
